- May 810:00 AMBFA Exhibition in The Gallery at UTAExhibition Dates: April 28 – May 10Reception and Awards Ceremony: Friday, May 2, 5 -7 p.m.The Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition is a showcase for recent work created by the graduating seniors of the University of Texas Arlington's Department of Art and Art History. The spring 2025 exhibition features the work of 28 BFA students demonstrating a wide variety of skills in concentrations including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, glass, interactive media, cinematic arts, and visual communication design.Dr. August Jordan Davis, chair of the Department of Art and Art History and director of The Gallery at UTA stated, "Every semester it is a joy to welcome students, family, friends and the public to celebrate the creative accomplishments of our graduating BFA students. As we showcase their work across visual communication design, the cinematic arts and studio arts, we help them mark the start of their professional careers as artists and designers. We look forward to you enjoying this show of their excellent artwork."

- May 86:00 PMCAPPA Masters' Students Hooding CeremonyCAPPA’s Spring 2025 Hooding Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 8, in the CAPPA Courtyard from 6-8:00 p.m. (weather permitting).This is a special opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our master’s graduates alongside their family and friends. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be relocated indoors to the Paul Geisel Auditorium with live streaming of the ceremony in the CAPPA Gallery to accommodate as many guests as possible.
- May 86:00 PMMavGrad CelebrationMavGrad Celebration is a fun and family-friendly event where UTA’s graduating students can celebrate with their peers, friends, and family. This free event will feature food, drinks, live music by Extended Play, photo opportunities, and festive activities. The graduating class of 2025 will be recognized with a celebratory toast at 7:45 p.m, and graduating students can stop by the Alumni Relations table to receive their first UTA alumni T-shirt while supplies last.In the case of rain, the celebration will be held in the Bluebonnet Ballroom of the University Center.
