- DescriptionNo experience is needed, just you, ready to learn. This class is designed to focus on the foundational poses of yoga, work on proper alignment and breathwork. The pace will be slower, allowing you to learn the basics and build a solid foundation.

To commemorate this anniversary, UTA Special Collections will have a mini-exhibit on display showcasing items that tell the story of Texas’ participation in Earth Day events and the environmental movement. Stop by Special Collections during the Central Library’s open hours, from April 1-30, to see photos, documents, ephemera, and more. The exhibit is located just outside the doors of Special Collections in the Atrium, located on the sixth floor of the Central Library.

- Apr 309:00 AMCosmic Cartography ExhibitDo you like Space? Do you like Maps? How about maps of space?! UTA Special Collections is proud to present a new exhibition titled Cosmic Cartography. Featuring maps and charts dating from 1548 to 2024, the exhibit explores humanity's desire to explain our understanding of the universe through maps. In the exhibit, you will see maps that explore the model of the universe - from the ancients who believed in an Earth-centered system to Copernicus who put the Sun at the center, and beyond; maps of our Solar System and planetary bodies; and maps that explore Constellations and the Zodiac.Giveaways will be available while supplies last!The exhibit is located on the sixth floor of Central Library in Special Collections. It is open Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

The spring 2025 exhibition features the work of 28 BFA students demonstrating a wide variety of skills in concentrations including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, glass, interactive media, cinematic arts, and visual communication design.Dr. August Jordan Davis, chair of the Department of Art and Art History and director of The Gallery at UTA stated, "Every semester it is a joy to welcome students, family, friends and the public to celebrate the creative accomplishments of our graduating BFA students. As we showcase their work across visual communication design, the cinematic arts and studio arts, we help them mark the start of their professional careers as artists and designers. We look forward to you enjoying this show of their excellent artwork."
