Anthropologists get jobs by networking. You will learn how to build and develop your professional network by recognizing the "strength of weak ties,"--such as your friend's uncle who could be a valuable resource for you. Attendees will practice doing informational interviews so that you will feel confident in seeking information and advice from people working in positions that interest you. This workshop is for students only. While the material is geared toward anthropology students, those enrolled in other programs are welcome to attend. Participants who attend the session will be entered into a raffle for one of 10 copies of Dr. Briody's book "Career Tools for Anthropology."
