Philosophy Colloquium: Emerging Problems in Reproductive Ethics

Monday, February 24, 2025 4:00–5:30 PM
  • Location
    Trimble Hall, 21
  • Description
The advent of new reproductive technologies and the subsequent development of fertility medicine has created interesting and novel intersections between reproductive, procreative, and medical decision-making. Philosophers and bioethicists must grapple with new moral challenges posed by these overlapping domains. Goals for this talk are to first describe different decisions at the intersection of these domains and then present two areas of research on embryos and embryoids respectively that the presenter believes require special evaluation in light of this taxonomy.
