Join us for a series of empowering monthly community rides on the last Friday of the month! These group rides unite cyclists of all levels for enjoyable rides through Arlington's streets. By participating, you help promote cycling as a sustainable transportation mode, advocate for bike-friendly infrastructure, and raise road safety awareness. The group rides kick off on campus in front of the Central Library. Participants ride together and explore diverse routes through Arlington's streets.

Check out the UTA Planetarium's 2025 Concert Series where we blend art with science.Join us for an evening of food, drinks, and live music featuring artist Slow Meadow from Houston, Texas. Appetizers are included with the price of admission. Reception with food and drinks start at 6 p.m. in the planetarium atrium and the concert starts at 7 p.m.Slow Meadow is Houston multi-instrumentalist Matt Kidd. Kidd's releases as Slow Meadow have been celebrated by the New York Observer, NPR's Stephen Thompson, Echoes' John Diliberto, and 6LACK who sampled Lachrymosia for the platinum-selling song Luving U on his debut album, FREE 6LACK. In 2022, Kidd provided the original soundtrack to the Selena Gomez film, "My Mind & Me".

Do you like Space? Do you like Maps? How about maps of space?! UTA Special Collections is proud to present a new exhibition titled Cosmic Cartography . Featuring maps and charts dating from 1548 to 2024, the exhibit explores humanity's desire to explain our understanding of the universe through maps. In the exhibit, you will see maps that explore the model of the universe - from the ancients who believed in an Earth-centered system to Copernicus who put the Sun at the center, and beyond; maps of our Solar System and planetary bodies; and maps that explore Constellations and the Zodiac.Giveaways will be available while supplies last!The exhibit is located on the sixth floor of Central Library in Special Collections. It is open Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
