The Gallery at UTA is pleased to present its 20th “Faculty Biennial,” a showcase for recent work created by faculty from the University of Texas at Arlington Department of Art and Art History. Scheduled every two years, this exhibition presents a sampling of what the art and design professors accomplish in their creative and scholarly endeavors outside the classroom. The 2025 exhibition, which runs October 20 through November 15, features 31 faculty members working in a wide variety of media including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, glass, printmaking, cinematic arts, and design. In addition, the department's art historians and art educators will have examples of recent publications on display."As we near the 40th anniversary of this gallery of contemporary art, it is wonderful to see the range of work our faculty are engaged in making and how it serves as an exemplar of what The Gallery at UTA is all about. We are focused on bringing innovative art and design to our public community and our faculty's creative work does just that, time and again. Gallery West is pleased to present Work in Progress | Print & Glass, a group exhibition featuring work by Frank Anderson, Sitar Balaban, Celeste Esparza, Verania Gonzalez, Reagan Grunewald, Emely Guerrero, Evelyn Kennedy, Angelica Lopez, Taylor McMillan, Yasmine Muhammad, Tyler Rosenkrantz, and Amy Tigner.The show features work in progress developed in Special Studies: Print & Glass (4392-002), a studio course taught by printmaking faculty Carrie Iverson. The course investigates the experimental intersection between printmaking and glass and its potential for contemporary art practices.Work in Progress | Print & Glass is on view on November 3-7 at Gallery West, located in the Studio Art Center, 810 S. Davis Drive, Arlington, TX. The exhibition's closing reception is on Friday, November 7, from 3–5 p.m.The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

The Voice Division Recital is a monthly recital featuring vocal student music majors.This performance is free and open to the public. This workshop introduces participants to LaTeX for scientific writing. Attendees will learn to create and compile documents in Overleaf, insert and format equations, figures, tables, and references, use collaboration and version control tools, and find discipline-specific resources and templates.
