The ceremony will be the commissioning of Cadets who have qualified and shown dedication and leadership into the United States Army.

Exhibition Dates: April 28 – May 10, 2025Reception and Awards Ceremony: Friday, May 2, 5 – 7 pmThe Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition is a showcase for recent work created by the graduating seniors of the University of Texas Arlington's Department of Art and Art History. The spring 2025 exhibition features the work of 28 BFA students demonstrating a wide variety of skills in concentrations including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, glass, interactive media, cinematic arts, and visual communication design.Dr. August Jordan Davis, chair of the Department of Art and Art History and director of The Gallery at UTA stated, "Every semester it is a joy to welcome students, family, friends and the public to celebrate the creative accomplishments of our graduating BFA students. As we showcase their work across visual communication design, the cinematic arts and studio arts, we help them mark the start of their professional careers as artists and designers. We look forward to you enjoying this show of their excellent artwork."

Prospective students attending the MSW Information Session will gain an in-depth understanding of the Master of Social Work program, including its curriculum, specialties, and career pathways. This session will provide insights into the program’s micro and macro concentrations, covering areas such as Direct Practice in Mental Health and Substance Misuse, Children and Families, and Community and Administrative Practice. Attendees will also learn about admission requirements and faculty expertise, with the chance to ask questions and explore how the MSW program aligns with their professional goals in social work.

The Glass Art Society International Conference has selected UTA to host.

This exhibition is presented in support of the Glass Art Society Conference: Trailblazing New Traditions, and includes a wide variety of techniques used to create and design glass artworks. Selections include works from the Maverick Art Collection, featuring Faculty and Student creations, as well as notable works from the UTA Fine Art Collections. This exhibit examines the evolution that glass media has undergone through the decades and how broadly it can be adapted in its aesthetic qualities and appeal. Ranging from the 1980s to the present, many of the international artists included in the collection have pushed past the traditional mindset of glass as a transparent utilitarian object to offer the viewer a colorful exploration of their craft and its incredible adaptability.Please join us in celebrating these works throughout the 2025 Summer semester, Monday, May 12 – Thursday, August 28, 2025.
