Since 2017, the UTA CARES Grant has funded more than 60 projects that contribute to course material affordability through the adoption of affordable resources and creation of unique open educational resources (OER).Faculty who are interested in transitioning their courses to no-cost or low-cost course materials may be eligible to receive funding in one of three categories:Adoption stipend – provides up to $800 for redesigning a course around existing low- or no-cost course materials (including OER, free resources, or library-purchased materials)Modification grant – provides up to $5,000 to modify, combine, or localize existing OER to design and publish a tailored resource for UTA studentsCreation grant – provides up to $10,000 to create and publish a unique OERSpring 2025 submissions are open now, and applications may be submitted at any time before the Friday, March 21 deadline.
