Featuring maps and charts dating from 1548 to 2024, the exhibit explores humanity's desire to explain our understanding of the universe through maps. In the exhibit, you will see maps that explore the model of the universe - from the ancients who believed in an Earth-centered system to Copernicus who put the Sun at the center, and beyond; maps of our Solar System and planetary bodies; and maps that explore Constellations and the Zodiac.Giveaways will be available while supplies last!The exhibit is located on the sixth floor of Central Library in Special Collections. It is open Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

The spring 2025 exhibition features the work of 28 BFA students demonstrating a wide variety of skills in concentrations including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, glass, interactive media, cinematic arts, and visual communication design.Dr. August Jordan Davis, chair of the Department of Art and Art History and director of The Gallery at UTA stated, "Every semester it is a joy to welcome students, family, friends and the public to celebrate the creative accomplishments of our graduating BFA students. As we showcase their work across visual communication design, the cinematic arts and studio arts, we help them mark the start of their professional careers as artists and designers. We look forward to you enjoying this show of their excellent artwork."

- Apr 292:00 PMMoon Tree One-Year Anniversary CelebrationThe UTA Planetarium and College of Science will host a celebration of the one-year anniversary of the planting of the Moon Tree on Tuesday, April 29. There will be a presentation at 2 p.m. in the Planetarium, followed by a free Planetarium show at 2:30 p.m. and refreshments and activities at 3 p.m. in the CPB atrium. The Moon Tree was grown from a seed which orbited the moon on a NASA spacecraft as part of the Artemis I mission. The sweetgum seedling was planted outside the Planetarium on April 25, 2024.
