- LocationMeeting @ Brazos Park
- DescriptionTexas Arbor Day honors trees and promotes community involvement in tree planting and care. Taking place in November, this event coincides with the optimal time of year to plant trees in Texas, allowing them to establish roots before the summer heat.
Join the Office of Sustainability for a nature walk, exploring trees and identification of leaves. By then end you'll have your own collection of leave prints to keep!
This statewide celebration highlights the vital role trees play in creating healthier, more livable communities. Trees clean the air, provide shade, reduce noise, lower energy costs, support wildlife, and improve water quality by reducing runoff and erosion. In both rural and urban areas, they contribute to the well-being of people and the planet. - Websitehttps://events.uta.edu/event/arbor-day-celebration
