UTA transportation services get Mavericks moving throughout campus, Arlington

With the new semester in session, students can utilize campus transportation to get around campus and Arlington. MavMover, RAPID and the Late Night Security Escort Service are free for students while Veo scooters and bikes can be used for a surcharge. MavMover MavMover is a shuttle bus network helping students travel throughout campus and participating apartments. Late Night Security Escort Service The Late Night Security Escort Service is a late night ride service offered by the university through the UTA Mav Mover app. The service operates every day from 7 p.m. through 3 a.m. Off-campus stops include Downtown Arlington, 848 Mitchell, Maverick Place, Centennial Court and The Arlie. The mobile app lets users schedule pick-up times and view arrival time predictions. RAPID self-driving shuttles RAPID is an autonomous vehicle rideshare service offered by the City of Arlington to travel around the area. To use the service, students must download the Via app and register with their UTA email. Students can request a free trip, and there are paid options available for any nonstudent users. RAPID operates from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. Students can unlock the vehicles by downloading the Veo mobile app. Veo offers two pricing options: a $5.99 monthly subscription charging 39 cents per minute or a $1 charge to unlock the vehicle and 39 cents per minute. Bikes and scooters can be found all over campus in the Veo parking zones or can be located app’s map. Cummings said in an email that since Veo's launch there have been 15,433 rides logged and a total of 21,775 miles traveled. “These numbers highlight the strong demand for sustainable, accessible transportation options,” he said. @wall035203

The MavMover drives through campus July 23 at UTA.

Veo Scooters and Bikes

UTA partnered with Veo to bring electric bikes and scooters to campus for students’ convenience. Students can unlock the vehicles by downloading the Veo mobile app.

Veo offers two pricing options: a $5.99 monthly subscription charging 39 cents per minute or a $1 charge to unlock the vehicle and 39 cents per minute.
