UTA executive position search continues for three university departments

UTA is looking to fill executive positions in the College of Nursing and Health Innovation, UTA West campus and the University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute. For each position, search committees consisting of faculty, staff and other campus representatives have been formed to find the right candidate. CONHI Dean Embracing innovation, CONHI’s new dean will engage, lead and energize the college’s community, according to the UTA website. Additionally, the new dean will create initiatives and collaborations within and outside UTA. The position requires leadership in scholarship, research, finance and education, and the dean will assume responsibility for all facets of CONHI’s administration. The search committee is led by Ming-Han Li, College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs dean. Other members include Samuel Galindo, CONHI assistant director for health communications, Beth Lucy-Speidel, administrative affairs associate dean and Jennifer Roye, assistant dean for simulation and technology. Vice President for Regional Campuses The vice president for regional campuses will shape the vision and implementation of the UTA West campus and position the Fort Worth Center for continued success. The new vice president will lead the administration for the Fort Worth Center and UTA West, aiming to create new innovative and high-quality opportunities for learning, teaching, research and service. The position requires a visionary leader who builds and maintains partnerships with community leaders and government officials. The vice president should partner with other UTA deans and community college leaders to build academic programs that meet workforce needs. The search committee is led by Jeff Jeter, government relations vice president. Other members include Lowell Davis, student affairs vice president, Cassandra Smith, enterprise development assistant vice president and Daniela Cardenas, UTA Fort Worth business operations manager. The university aims to increase the research center’s community visibility, and the executive director will do so by strengthening partnerships and finding opportunities for greater research funding. The director will also develop, implement and effectively communicate a plan that encourages productive collaborations across the university and with external partners.
