59th Annual Walter Prescott Webb Lectures

- DescriptionThe UTA Department of History and Geography will host the Walter Prescott Webb Lectures, with a theme of "War and Violence in World History." The lecture series will open with the keynote address at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16 on the sixth floor of the Central Library (Parlor).
The series wil continue throughout the day on Thursday, April 17. Sessions will take place in the Carlisle Academy Room in the University Center at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Presenting “Haunted Communities & Disorderly Partners: the Challenge of Writing ‘Violence’ across Communities,” Keynote Speaker James F. Brooks is the Carl and Sally Gable Distinguished Professor of History at the University of Georgia.
