Join UTA's Office of Emergency Management, Arlington Fire Department’s Office of Emergency Management, and the National Weather Service for an educational fair and free movie screening in recognition of National Prepareness Month.All students, faculty, staff, and the local community are invited to Levitt Pavillion to learn about how to be prepared. Popcorn will be provided for the first 200 attendees, and free weather radios will be available while supplies last.

Aux Wars is a fun, competitive event where participants take turns playing songs through an aux cord or Bluetooth connection. Each round has a theme or mood, and the audience or judges vote on which song choice fits best or gets the crowd most excited. The goal is to showcase music taste, creativity, and crowd-pleasing skills.

From handwritten letters to email, we are continuously searching for new ways to share our ideas, needs, and life updates. UTA Special Collections will have a mini-exhibit on display showcasing items in the collection relating to communication through the ages. Special Collections invites the UTA community to learn more and view the mini-exhibit during the Central Library's open hours, September 4-30. The mini-exhibit is located just outside the doors of Special Collections in the Atrium, located on the sixth floor of the Central Library.

UTA is hosting the second UT- System wide Postdoctoral Research Symposium! We invite all UTA postdocs to present a poster and network with postdoc colleagues from other University of Texas universities.

Join us for our seventh annual Graduate Student Conference on Effective Teaching. This half-day conference covers topics that support effective teaching and beyond. Topics this year include: Starting the First Day Strong, Teaching with Social Media, Growth through Feedback, Real-World and Hands-On Learning, and much more! During the conference, we will provide opportunities for graduate students to interact, ask questions, and build community including a networking lunch event with a special speaker addressing the topic of "The Art of Small Talk". This event is led by the student organizations of UTA College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs. We take up the five parking spaces with free activities for people to join in! Occupying those spaces redefines what they can be used for. There will be games, free activities, and food trucks!
