Join us for a series of empowering monthly community rides on the last Friday of the month! These group rides unite cyclists of all levels for enjoyable rides through Arlington's streets. By participating, you help promote cycling as a sustainable transportation mode, advocate for bike-friendly infrastructure, and raise road safety awareness. The group rides kick off on campus in front of the Central Library, we'll ride together exploring diverse routes through Arlington's streets.

As part of this semester’s International Education Week celebrations, the Office of International Education invites all Mavericks to submit a photograph entry to be featured in the global photo exhibition, See the Unseen. This exhibition focuses on showcasing the often-overlooked elements of culture and community that shape the world around us.Student submissions will be assessed by a panel of judges, and prizes will be awarded to first- and second-place student entries in three different themes.Maverick community members may submit one photo per category for consideration across any of the following categories:Intercultural Immersion: Captures moments where individuals are immersed in the culture of their host country (U.S. or abroad). Photos might showcase students engaging in everyday activities that reflect the unique aspects of the host country's culture, or participating in local events, traditions, or festivals. Photos may also capture a moment or scene, which creates a culturally immersive or -reflective experience for the viewer.Culture & Landscapes: Highlight the natural beauty and landscapes of host country locations (U.S. or abroad). Participants can submit photographs of landscapes, environments, iconic landmarks, scenic vistas, or natural wonders that play a significant role in shaping the host culture. The Gallery at UTA is pleased to present its twentieth “Faculty Biennial,” a showcase for recent work created by faculty from the University of Texas at Arlington Department of Art and Art History. Scheduled every two years, this exhibition presents a sampling of what the art and design professors accomplish in their creative and scholarly endeavors outside the classroom. The 2025 exhibition, which runs October 20 through November 15, features 31 faculty members working in a wide variety of media including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, glass, printmaking, cinematic arts, and design. In addition, the department's art historians and art educators will have examples of recent publications on display."As we near the 40th anniversary of this gallery of contemporary art, it is wonderful to see the range of work our faculty are engaged in making and how it serves as an exemplar of what The Gallery at UTA is all about. We are focused on bringing innovative art and design to our public community and our faculty's creative work does just that, time and again.
